Operations Overview
The Operations Team Lead plays a key role in the day-to-day operations and administration of the compound. This position is responsible for supporting operational processes and systems to ensure full compliance with customer contracts and service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support operational workflows and drive KPI improvements through leading or participating in toolbox talks and operational meetings.
- Collect and analyze performance data to support the Compound Supervisor and Operations Manager in improving key metrics such as cost per vehicle, cars per hour, and damage reduction.
- Manage transit damage claims and non-conformance reporting, driving root cause analysis and resolution.
- Coordinate weekly stocktake programs to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Assist with training delivery and staff evaluations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in the Transport and Logistics industry with a solid understanding of operational workflows and service delivery.
- A proactive safety-first mindset with a commitment to OHS&E compliance team development, and customer satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse teams across all levels of the organization.
- Strong geographical knowledge of metropolitan, regional, and rural areas across Australia including major road networks and transport routes.
- Basic-intermediate experience in MS Office applications capable of learning new systems software, and technology.
