Transplant Patient Care Specialist Job Description
This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of test results in our clinical laboratory. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks under general direction, including testing, quality control, and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct sample handling and processing according to established protocols.
- Analyze test results and prepare reports as required.
- Maintain accurate records of test results and participate in quality control activities.
- Comply with all relevant policies and procedures related to confidentiality, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
- Identify and address any issues affecting test performance or results, following established protocols.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills, including working with databases and software applications.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
- Participate in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures and workflows.
Qualifications:
- Held current licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS).
- Bachelor's degree in a biology-related field or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 1-6 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, preferably with high-complexity testing.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of programs and analytical software applications.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
- Experience in immunology, microbiology, or related fields is highly desirable.
