Key Digital Marketing Director Role

A leading agency in Melbourne is seeking a seasoned Digital Marketing Director to drive channel strategy and lead a high-performing team across paid media, e-commerce, automation, and the wider digital ecosystem.

This opportunity is ideal for a digital all-rounder with deep roots in performance marketing who wants to lead with impact and set themselves up for a move into a Head of Digital position.

Responsibilities

  • Own digital strategy across key clients - think paid search, paid social, CRO, analytics, and media planning.
  • Lead and mentor a growing team of digital specialists, ensuring best-in-class execution and continuous development.
  • Build deep relationships with long-term clients, translating business needs into high-performing marketing programs.
  • Oversee broader digital channels including e-commerce, marketing automation, and campaign optimisation.
  • Contribute to new business and pitch work, helping shape the agency's next phase of growth.

Requirements

  • 6+ years' digital marketing experience, including agency leadership.
  • Strong track record in performance marketing (especially paid media, search, social).
  • Commercial thinking and a sharp eye for growth opportunities.
  • Hands-on ability to get into the detail, but confidence to delegate and lead.
  • Experience managing client budgets over $100k per month spend, presenting strategy, and delivering results.
