Position Overview:
We are in search of a Consultant/Specialist General Physician specializing in Internal Medicine to join a comprehensive General Medicine department. This role involves managing approximately 100 inpatients daily, conducting outpatient consultations, and providing remote outreach services. Ideal candidates will possess a fellowship in General and Acute Care Medicine.

Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver consultant ward services to a General Medical Unit.
- Oversee, mentor, and support junior medical staff including Advanced Trainees, Basic Physician Trainees, Resident Medical Officers, Interns, and medical students.
- Participate in regular departmental meetings, including Consultant Meetings, Mortality & Morbidity discussions, Journal Clubs, and Radiology Meetings.

It is a teaching hospital co-located with a private facility, offering a wide array of specialist services such as Emergency Medicine, Anaesthetics, Intensive Care, Coronary Care, acute medical and surgical services, Rehabilitation, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Mental Health.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
AHPRA Specialist registration with FRACP in General and Acute Care Medicine is essential. Candidates with fellowship in other specialties will be considered if they can demonstrate equivalent skills and experience in General Medicine.
