Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Conducting general vehicle repairs efficiently to meet our fleet's required repair times.
- Undertaking repair work, including smash repairs and/or panel replacements, in a timely manner.
- Rust repair services, from minor to major rust removal jobs.
- Cut and polish - paint restoration work.
- Detailing & Cleaning vehicles to service-ready levels.
- Ensuring panel and general repairs meet QT / RTA requirements and company specifications.
- Assessing damaged vehicles, deciding the best course of repair, and estimating time and cost.
- Mentoring and assisting Apprentices and Trade Assistants as requested, prioritizing their safety while they perform tasks to their competency level.
You'll Be The Ideal Candidate If You Have:
- A trade qualification in Automotive (Vehicle Body Building) or Panel Beating, preferably with a Certificate III.
- Previous experience in vehicle body building, specifically on trucks and buses.
- A Medium-Rigid License, with a Heavy-Rigid License being preferable.
- A Forklift License (preferable).
- A good understanding of business operations, with self-motivation and enthusiasm for day-to-day tasks.
