Job Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Trade Overseer to work in our General Industries unit. The successful candidate will supervise and develop inmates through managing, coaching, instructing, and encouraging them to improve their work skills, enhance their post-release employment prospects, and contribute productively to business objectives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure productivity efficiency and other commercial objectives are achieved while maintaining Workplace Health & Safety, Quality Management requirements, and customer service needs.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance inmate skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate records of inmate progress and performance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve unit goals and objectives.

Key Requirements:

  • Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or the ability to complete it within specified timeframes.
  • A valid NSW Driver Licence and willingness to drive a vehicle while performing the role.
  • Relevant trade qualifications: Minimum Cert III in any one of the following trades: Carpenter (Building/Construction), Print with Print/Cut UV -LED Printer experience, Flexographic, Off-set printing, Digital printing, and graphic design, Horticultural, Landscaping, Baking, or commercial cookery. A Forklift licence is desired but not essential.
