About Data Governance

Job Description:

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the effective management of data across the organization.

  • You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure data assets are properly governed, accessible, and compliant with legislative and organisational requirements.
  • Support information management assessments, registers, and compliance documentation.
  • Assist records sentencing, retention, and disposal activities.
  • Contribute to data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and complete data sets.
  • Support compliance reporting aligned to frameworks such as PSPF and National Archives requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Developing and implementing effective data management strategies.
  2. Providing expert advice on data governance best practices.
  3. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and integrity.
  4. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  5. Supporting training initiatives for staff on data governance principles.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience in data management, information management, or information governance.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislative and organisational requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across business units.
