Transport Operations Manager

About the Role
An exciting opportunity for a Transport Operations Supervisor to lead our transport operations team has arisen at DP World Australia.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring Safety, Customer, and Commercial outcomes are met. Your day-to-day operations will involve managing the Landside team to deliver effective provision of ongoing service within budget expectations.
The Key Roles and Responsibilities of this Role Include:
- Managing Transport Operations to ensure effective provision of ongoing service within budget expectations.
- Ensuring Safety and Compliance within the in-house transport group, following NHVR regulations.
- Managing the execution of transport functions for all internal and external stakeholders.
- Planning and oversight of Customer Deliveries to ensure we meet service level agreements.
- Ensuring invoicing accuracy from a Transport perspective for Receivables and Payables.
- Acting as the super user for the TMS and key point of contact within the Transport team for the implementation project.
- Providing leadership, direction, and coaching for all direct reports.
- Managing the onboarding of all new team members and ensuring all ongoing training requirements are met for current team members.
About You
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- 5+ years' experience in a Transport Related role.
- Notable experience managing frontline works is desired.
- Experience with Transport Management systems.
- Knowledge of Container Transport industry.
- Strong understanding of Chain of Responsibility.
- Strong knowledge of Container Chain and 1-Stop would be advantageous.
- Effective planning skills.
- Ability to oversee a team to deliver outcomes in line with business requirements and expectations.
