  • Safely and efficiently operate a heavy rigid waste collection vehicle.

Key Responsibilities include following designated routes for scheduled curbside rubbish bin collections, conducting pre-start and post-start vehicle inspections and completing all necessary paperwork. You must adhere strictly to all road transport regulations and company safety policies. If you notice any vehicle maintenance issues or route problems, report them to your supervisor. A professional and courteous demeanor is expected when interacting with the public.

Requirements: We are looking for an individual with a valid and current Heavy Rigid (HR) driver's licence. Proven experience as a heavy rigid driver, preferably in waste management or a similar field, is required. A clean driving record and willingness to undertake a driver history check are also necessary. Strong knowledge of local roads is essential, as well as the physical ability to handle the demands of the role, including getting in and out of the vehicle frequently. Commitment to health and safety procedures and excellent reliability and punctuality are also requirements. Willingness to undergo a driver suitability medical screening is a plus.
