Job Title: Infrastructure Safety Improvement Lead
OverviewThe Department of Transport and Main Roads is seeking an experienced professional to lead a team in planning and implementing effective communication and project engagement activities. The successful candidate will provide strategic communications support to senior management and staff for community engagement, media relations, issues management, public affairs and stakeholder relationship management.
This role involves leading a team of professionals to research, develop, deliver and report on strategies to engage or inform the community about infrastructure programs and related initiatives. Effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, service providers, the public and different levels of government are essential for delivering program outcomes and goals.
Responsibilities- Lead and drive a team of communication and project engagement professionals to research, develop, deliver and report on strategies to engage or inform the community about infrastructure programs and related initiatives.
- Develop and implement a strategy for effective communication and project engagement, monitoring and reporting on activity and results within agreed timeframes.
- Support senior management by managing a high-performance communications team to deliver program and project outcomes.
- Provide high-level strategic communication advice and options to senior management on infrastructure programs and related issues.
