The position of Lead Senior Mechanical Engineer offers the opportunity to step into a leadership role, overseeing complex engineering projects and supporting a skilled team in delivering solutions across various sectors.

About the Role

This is an ideal next step for a senior mechanical design professional with a strong background in hydraulic systems who's ready to lead. As the Lead Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will oversee a team of engineers and QA specialists, take the lead on end-to-end design projects, and drive continuous improvement in both design quality and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee detailed design and development of hydraulic systems

- Ensure compliance with ISO9001 and engineering best practices

- Resolve complex design challenges with fluid power systems

- Manage project delivery timelines and outcomes

- Engage with clients and suppliers on technical solutions

About You

To be considered, you must have:

- 5+ years' experience in a similar mechanical design role

- A strong track record in fluid power and hydraulic system design

- Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar

- Experience leading or mentoring technical teams

- Strong project and time management skills

- A hands-on, solutions-focused mindset with excellent attention to detail
