Please note - this is NOT an IT role.
This could also suit someone who has just finished a Mechanical Apprenticeship and is interested in production and design engineering.
What You Will Do
- Lead quality assurance processes, including ISIR and 8D, to ensure the highest standards of product performance.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation, including pressure, torque, and robustness, to meet and exceed industry standards.
- Provide expert technical support to customers, resolving inquiries and issues with efficiency and professionalism.
- Investigate product failures, generating detailed reports to drive improvements.
- Manage and maintain CAD data and engineering drawings, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing team to optimize product designs for manufacturability and ease of assembly.
- HNC qualification or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Over 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering and manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software and a deep understanding of design for manufacture and assembly principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication skills, capable of working effectively both in teams and independently.
- Keen interest in quality, production design and engineering.
