Graphic Design Assistant Role

This role involves working on diverse projects across multiple brands as a Graphic Design Assistant. You will be responsible for researching, developing, and creating artwork and production files in collaboration with other team members.

  • Key responsibilities include designing window and instore signage, props for window concepts, and artwork for hoardings, block-outs, and store fit-outs.
  • Seasonal campaign imagery and store opening documents also need to be maintained.
  • Product labelling, pricing, and information collateral must be assisted with.
  • Collaboration with the PR/Marketing team and Brand Art Director is required on seasonal event collateral.
  • Working with product design teams to ensure brand identity is applied consistently is essential.
  • Designing packaging for special events is also involved.
  • Support with updating forms and creating new documents for HR is necessary.
  • Visual concepts and artwork for seasonal campaign shoots, including illustrations, graphics, and typography, require assistance.
Requirements:
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Graphic Design is necessary.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) is required.
  • Proven experience in a Graphic Design role, with retail experience advantageous, is essential.
  • The ability to work on multiple projects and manage multiple brands simultaneously is crucial.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively, are required.
  • A strong creative eye and attention to detail are essential.
  • Collaborative and pressure-resistant, with excellent communication skills, you will support offsite teams.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills are proven through experience leading freelance teams when required.
