About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Operational Risk Manager to join our team. This permanent role involves leading a dedicated team responsible for managing Operational Risk Profiles, developing and testing risk controls through automation, and embedding quality assurance frameworks across the organisation.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead a team in managing Operational Risk Profiles, designing and implementing risk controls, and conducting regular risk assessments.
- Support business transformation by driving operational efficiency and risk maturity through structured risk strategies and quality initiatives.
- Build awareness and capability in risk and quality management across the business by guiding regular audits and design and validation of risk controls.
- Oversee the development and implementation of quality standards and review frameworks.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure that risk and quality efforts are aligned with strategic objectives.
- Influence and engage across teams to foster a proactive risk culture and strong operational resilience.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in operational risk management and quality assurance, preferably within a commercial insurance environment.
- Proven team leadership experience with ability to coach others and lead continuous improvement initiatives across operational teams.
- Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and quality standards such as ISO 9001.
- Demonstrated experience with automation tools to streamline risk control design and testing processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communicator with ability to collaborate and influence across functions and senior leadership.
