Job Title:

Vet Special School Cluster Coordinator

 

Overview:

The Victorian Government's Specialist Schools VET Cluster Operations Group supports 14 Specialist Schools across the state, fostering a dynamic ecosystem that empowers students with skills and knowledge for lifelong learning.

The cluster provides high-quality, tailored vocational education and training, equipping students with practical expertise and industry-relevant experience, driving sustainable career opportunities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations of the Specialist School VET Cluster, ensuring seamless coordination and communication among stakeholders.
  • Chair and manage the Specialist School VET Cluster Operations Group, facilitating collaboration and strategic planning.
  • Identify and lead planning and development of new programs, products, and services to increase opportunities for young people, promoting equity and access.
  • Monitor and evaluate Cluster performance, including leading Cluster self-audits, to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support school-based VET Coordinators through professional development and capacity building, enhancing their ability to deliver effective vocational education.
  • Manage software solutions to engage with trends in enrolments and plan to address access and provision gaps, leveraging technology for better outcomes.

 

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as central point of contact between stakeholders, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Area-Based Pathways Workforce, Local Learning and Employment Networks (LLEN), and local employers, fostering partnerships and collaborations.
  • Identify and develop relationships with new stakeholders to benefit the Cluster's objectives and goals, expanding its network and influence.

 

Communications and Documentation:

  • Develop Cluster communications products, including promotional materials and student handbooks, showcasing the Cluster's vision and mission.
  • Provide critical information to inform reporting for contracts and partnerships, ensuring transparency and accountability.

 

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal skills and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships between people with a disability and their parents and carers, promoting inclusivity and respect.
  • Proven experience working on large-scale collaborative projects, demonstrating leadership and team management skills.
  • Competency in software packages such as Excel and publishing software, leveraging technology for administrative tasks.
