We are seeking an Engineering Strategist to lead the development of technical strategies and provide expert guidance on connection and engineering processes.

Role Overview

This position will be responsible for shaping and implementing Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) frameworks across the National Electricity Market (NEM).

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the technical development of REZ frameworks ensuring alignment with government policy objectives and operational planning and connection engineering responsibilities.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to internal staff and industry stakeholders in relation to technical operational regulatory and process matters associated with connections of major plant.
  • Lead a step-change improvement in collaboration with clients and the energy industry to ensure proactive constructive and outcome-focused problem solving as well as robust transparent decision making.

The ideal candidate will have qualifications in engineering stakeholder engagement or project management extensive demonstrated experience in connections engineering and process technical expertise on medium to large scale generation projects and a detailed understanding of the NER and the NEM.
