About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Platform Product Owner to lead our Core Data Platforms squad. As a key member of our Technology team, you'll drive platforms and outcomes that align with Data Stakeholder needs and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Make daily decisions and remove blockers to ensure smooth progress and efficiency
  • Translate Platform purpose into clear Squad goals, ensuring members deliver desired customer and business outcomes
  • Develop guardrails for the Platform, acting as the technical conscience for the Squad
  • Lead the discovery and experimentation of ideas, delivering innovative solutions to internal customers and colleagues
  • Manage and prioritize the squad backlog, ensuring that outcomes are delivered effectively and on time
  • Ensure the squad complies with appropriate governance standards, including serving as the sign-off point for compliance
Requirements
  • 10 years' experience in Technology, with at least 3 years in the Insurance or Financial Services industry
  • Deep understanding of Databricks, AWS, and dbt is highly desired. General understanding of Collibra and Fivetran is a nice to have.
  • High level of flexibility and pragmatism with the ability to adapt to change
  • Solid technology background, foundational asset knowledge, and experience managing change and running technology assets
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent storytelling, presentation, and communication abilities
  • Strong internal consultation, influencing, relationship-building skills, and experience leading people
