Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dish Preparation Specialist to join our culinary team. As a Dish Preparation Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high quality dishes that meet the highest standards of excellence.

You will work closely with other team members to ensure that all dishes are prepared to perfection, and that our guests receive an exceptional dining experience. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will be essential in ensuring that our menu items meet the expectations of our discerning guests.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and present high quality dishes within company guidelines
  • Keep all working areas clean and tidy and ensure no cross contamination
  • Prepare all mis-en-place for all relevant menus
  • Assist in positive outcomes from guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure food stuffs are of a good quality and stored correctly
  • Contribute to controlling costs, improving gross profit margins, and other departmental and financial targets
  • Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships
  • Report maintenance, hygiene and hazard issues
  • Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety and food safety legislation
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in food preparation and cooking
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team

Awareness of departmental targets and ability to contribute to achieving them is also essential. Experience in a similar role would be advantageous, but not essential. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package to successful candidates.
