Senior Operations Manager Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the overall performance of projects, ensuring compliance with relevant legal obligations and adherence to industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, employees, and suppliers.
  • Manage site-based functions such as maintenance, mining engineering, diamond drill, crushing & screening, and other services undertaken in the contract.
  • Financial management involves submitting progress claims and variations as required.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years underground mining experience.
  • Significant experience managing and executing mining contracts.
  • Strong client focus regarding commercial, technical, and service delivery.
  • Exposure to multiple operations in a mining organisation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of risk and safety management systems and processes associated with mining operations.

Qualifications:

  • Underground supervisors certificate of competency or first-class mine managers certificate of competency (desirable).
  • Bachelor of engineering (mining) (desirable).
  • Senior first aid certificate.
  • Current and valid manual Australian drivers licence (C-class minimum).
