Job Summary

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned leader to spearhead our Electronic Surveillance Analysis section, driving delivery of electronic surveillance products in support of AFP operations.

The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of criminal investigation practices and procedures, and experience in fields such as telecommunications, cyber operations, programming & coding, geospatial analysis and/or data analytics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a diverse and multidisciplinary team, ensuring operational support is delivered and priorities align with strategic organisational outcomes.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of criminal investigation practices & procedures, intelligence processes, the capabilities of Covert Technical Operations and the wider AFP technical centres and collections.
  • Contribute to the enhancement and future direction of the ESAT capability by identifying and leading various project work, innovation efforts, and improving customer service.
  • Mentor and develop members to enable mastery, teamwork and purpose in the performance of their functions.
  • Coordinate and deliver operational support to all AFP commands in line with operational and organisational priorities.
