Procurement and Contract Strategy Leader

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Procurement and Contract Strategy Leader with experience in managing contracting strategies, providing strategic advice and governance to mitigate risks and achieve commercial outcomes, supervising and mentoring the contracts team, forecasting cashflows and final costs for contracts, preparing and reviewing project reports, managing contract administration, claims reviews, and payment certificates, leading tender processes and providing commercial contract advice, and closing out contracts on project completion.

About the Role

  • Develop and implement procurement and contract strategies for future projects
  • Provide strategic advice and governance to mitigate risks and achieve commercial outcomes
  • Supervise and mentor the contracts team
  • Forecast cashflows and final costs for contracts
  • Prepare and review project reports
  • Manage contract administration, claims reviews, and payment certificates
  • Lead tender processes and provide commercial contract advice
  • Closing out contracts on project completion

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Commercial or Contracts discipline
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in contracts management on major projects
  • Experience working on large-scale capital projects in mining, oil & gas, or infrastructure
  • Demonstrated leadership skills within a contracts team
  • Strong communication, relationship management, and commercial negotiation skills
