Our Corporate/M&A practice is a dynamic and multifaceted area, providing expert advice on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, joint ventures, disposals, equity capital markets, warranty and indemnity insurance, governance, franchising, and corporate advisory services. This role presents an exciting opportunity for an Associate to become part of a cohesive and collaborative team in Brisbane, working on a diverse range of intricate matters for a prestigious clientele.
Recent Engagements
- Representing Loan Market Group in the acquisition of NAB's mortgage aggregation business.
- Advising Goldman Sachs and Blue Sky on the sale of the Atira student accommodation portfolio.
- Assisting Anglo American Coal with mining lease expansion, native title issues, and rail contracts.
- Supporting Multicom in the development of a high-grade Vanadium mine.
- Guiding Shell QGC on the sale of interests in mid-stream LNG assets and related native title matters.
- Collaborating with QCoal on various development and operational issues, including the acquisition of the Bounty mine.
- Providing legal support to Arrow Energy on contracting and land access matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering legal advice to a diverse client base across sectors such as consumer markets, technology, financial services, tourism, mining, oil and gas, renewables, and energy.
- Offering guidance on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, capital raising, infrastructure access, native title, and commercial law.
- Conducting due diligence and drafting documentation for complex commercial transactions.
- Engaging in business development and marketing initiatives to enhance client relationships.
Candidate Profile
- A minimum of + years' post-qualification experience in a corporate and commercial practice within a top-tier or international law firm.
- A strong interest in handling high-profile and complex transactions.
- Excellent analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
- Exceptional client relationship management and commercial insight are essential attributes.
