The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Cyber Incident Response Consultant to join our team at NCC Group. As a key member of our Cyber Incident Response Team, you will collaborate with various individuals and divisions within our business to provide expert technical guidance and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical tasks within our engagements, ensuring timely and effective delivery of results.
  • Respond to emergency incidents, including mitigation and remediation activities, to minimize business disruption and ensure continuity.
  • Maintain composure and effectiveness in client Incident Management scenarios, providing clear and concise communication to stakeholders.
  • Conduct high-quality technical investigations, identifying root causes and providing actionable recommendations to clients.
  • Collaborate with Threat Intelligence teams to identify and respond to emerging threats, ensuring our clients are protected from evolving cyber threats.
  • Conduct intelligence-driven investigative analysis, leveraging industry-leading tools and techniques to drive results.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing expert guidance and support to ensure their security posture is optimized.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in incident response, security operations, or strategic security consulting.
  • Proven experience evaluating client security controls, architecture, and operations, with a focus on identifying areas for improvement.
  • Experience crafting scripts and tools to enhance incident investigative efforts, with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Experience leading client incident response engagements, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and exceeding client expectations.
  • Experience triaging Windows and Linux hosts, with a focus on identifying and mitigating security threats.
  • Experience with Network Traffic Analysis and Log Data Analysis, with a focus on identifying and responding to emerging threats.
  • Ability to produce high-quality written and verbal reports, presentations, recommendations, and findings to clients.
  • Ability to evaluate and enhance processes and procedures, with a focus on continuous improvement.
