Job Title: Registered Nurse

You will be responsible for the provision of comprehensive patient care and coordination, as well as supervision of junior staff and students.

This is an excellent opportunity to join our dynamic Perioperative Anaesthetics team, supporting 7 theatres across various specialties.

The Position:
  • Oversight of total patient care.
  • Awareness of all patient needs, conditions, and progress.
  • Frequent communication with patients throughout shifts.
  • Ensuring all patient needs are met efficiently.
  • Involving patients in their own care and decision-making processes.
  • Accurate documentation of nursing history, care plans, and care pathways.
  • Prompt execution of medical treatment requests, consulting doctors when unclear.
  • Maintaining organized nursing activities.
  • Continual improvement of technical skills, such as ECG interpretation, intravenous cannula insertion, chest pain management, and other Critical Care-related skills.
  • Adherence to safe nursing procedures.
  • Maintenance of high-quality work standards.

To succeed in this role, you must have a registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and demonstrate initiative, reliability, and minimal supervision requirements.

You should possess relevant skills and competencies related to Peri Operative anaesthetics, with at least 2 years of recent clinical experience in the specialty.
