Pathology Collector Role


We are seeking a skilled Pathology Collector to join our team in the Sydney Metro Area. As a key member of our collection team, you will play a vital role in positively impacting the health of Australians.



Your Key Responsibilities



  • Collect blood samples with care and attention from patients in various settings
  • Ensure meticulous records are kept for every patient and sample
  • Deliver documentation within strict turnaround times, maintaining high standards of quality
  • Prepare and package specimens for transport and testing, adhering to safety protocols
  • Liaise with customers, clinic staff, and couriers to ensure seamless operations


About You



  • Demonstrated experience in Phlebotomy or a related field, with a Certificate III in Pathology Collection or equivalent
  • Transferable skills from other positions within the healthcare industry are highly desirable
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with a high level of empathy
  • Organised time management and attention to detail, with the ability to work autonomously
  • A valid Driver's license, flexibility to travel to multiple clinics, and willingness to obtain a Working with Children's Check (if required)
  • Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid visa permitting work


Vaccine Requirements


Proof of vaccination against Hepatitis B is mandatory for this role, with additional vaccinations based on location being required.

Estimated Salary


$60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.



Location


The successful candidate will be based in the Sydney Metro Area, with regular travel to multiple clinics required.
