Cancer Support Registered Nurse

This role offers the opportunity to deliver holistic health promotion, community education, and culturally safe cancer care pathways.

As a Cancer Support Registered Nurse, you will promote and embed cancer screening resources across community programs. You will support clients and families in navigating cancer services and palliative care pathways.

You will coordinate planning with hospitals and Aboriginal Medical Services to ensure culturally safe referrals. You will deliver health promotion activities, yarning circles, and community education.

Assist in developing quality improvement processes and culturally appropriate learning materials.

Requirements
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Experience in community health, chronic disease, oncology, or related programs.
  • Current QLD Driver's Licence, First Aid/CPR, Blue Card, and National Police Check.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Cultural awareness working rural and remote and with Aboriginal and Torres Island communities.
