About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team at Life Without Barriers. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing person-centred support to individuals with disabilities, empowering them to live their best lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality support to individuals with disabilities, including personal care, mobility assistance, and daily living activities.
- Develop and implement person-centred support plans, ensuring the unique needs and goals of each individual are met.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families, and colleagues, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support and care for individuals with complex needs.
- Document and track client progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders and contributing to continuous quality improvement.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in disability support.
Requirements
- Unrestricted New South Wales driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including public holidays, and be available for on-call shifts.
- Basic technology and software skills, including proficiency in mobile and desktop applications.
- Current First Aid Certificate, including HLTAID003 or HLTAID011.
- Experience working in lifestyle and community supports, with a strong understanding of disability support principles and practices.
