A permanent full-time position is available in Parramatta (NSW) with work from home flexibility.
- Working with individuals and families who are victims or survivors of Forced Marriage and Family Violence.
- Providing emotional and practical assistance.
- Facilitating access to essential services.
- Collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders.
- Participating in community awareness activities to promote understanding and prevention of Forced Marriages.
This role requires a strong background in managing complex, trauma-informed services, particularly in the areas of domestic and family violence.
The successful candidate will provide intensive case management support, working with clients to empower them on their journey to safety and independence.
You will have a key role in raising awareness of the risks of Forced Marriage, engaging with families, communities and services.
Key requirements for this role include:
- A recognised degree qualification in Social Work, Social Sciences, Psychology, Nursing or Mental Health, or a recognised Diploma in a related field and working towards a degree qualification.
- Experience developing quality case plans or individual plans.
- Demonstrated experience working autonomously with multiple clients simultaneously.
- Experience working with individuals, families or groups from a culturally appropriate perspective.
- High level communication, influencing, liaison, negotiation and mediation skills.
To be successful in this role, you will need to undergo probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
