Make a lasting impact in Australia's Kimberley region by supporting First Nations communities through culturally centred, trauma-informed care.

About the Role

This is an opportunity to bring your counselling skills to remote communities and provide therapeutic support for those impacted by grief and loss, trauma, family and relationship challenges, alcohol and drug issues, and mental health concerns.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, helping to strengthen cultural identity, connection, and community wellbeing. Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering individual, family, and group counselling sessions.
  • Developing holistic care plans and providing client-centred support.
  • Collaborating with other health and community services.
  • Participating in community events to promote wellbeing and encourage help-seeking.
  • Traveling to surrounding communities by 4WD or light aircraft.

We seek a registered counsellor with experience in remote or First Nations health settings who can provide a culturally safe and trauma-informed approach to care.
