About the Role

Reporting to the General Counsel, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal expertise and support to Talison Lithium across all aspects of its business. This includes matters related to contractual, property, employment, regulatory and commercial issues. The role also involves providing strategic legal advice, contract drafting, and negotiation in collaboration with the General Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel to support Talison Lithium's projects and operations.

Responsibilities

• supporting the Senior Legal Counsel and General Counsel on strategic initiatives and legal projects;
• advising on legal responsibilities, disputes, and regulatory compliance across Talison's operations;
• drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of contracts including procurement, construction, consultancy, and confidentiality agreements;
• monitoring legislative changes impacting the business, providing legal input into risk management processes and developing legal strategies;
• developing and updating policies and procedures in response to legislative or business changes; and
• engaging and managing external legal counsel when specialist advice is required.

About the Candidate

• holds a tertiary law degree from a common law jurisdiction and a minimum of 5 years PQE, ideally with experience in commercial, property, employment, environment, construction or resources law;
• admitted to practice in Australia and eligible for a WA practicing certificate;
• advanced drafting, negotiation, and communication skills;
• strong commercial acumen;
• proven ability to manage competing priorities, with a strong work ethic and a demonstrated capacity for independence and initiative;
• capable of building effective relationships and navigating complex stakeholder environments; and
• aligns with Talison's values and consistently acts with integrity.
