Senior Occupational Therapist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team at Star HR. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the growth and development of our junior therapists, while delivering exceptional care to our clients living with a disability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake comprehensive assessments to identify daily living capabilities and provide evidence-based interventions.
  • Provide clinical supervision, guidance, and support to junior therapists to ensure they reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate with an expert Senior OT to deliver best-practice services and achieve outstanding outcomes.
  • Develop and implement home modification recommendations to enhance clients' independence and quality of life.
  • Prescribe equipment, assistive technologies, and other therapy supports to meet clients' unique needs.
  • Liaise with families and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Deliver treatment, guidance, and education to individuals and their carers to promote meaningful outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy with AHPRA registration.
  • Passion for facilitating and enabling meaningful outcomes for people with disability and their families.
  • Desire to work with and support junior therapists to develop their skills and confidence.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to build rapport with clients and families.
  • Current driver's license and car for travel to client sites.
  • Working with Children Check, National Police Check, and Children's First Aid training (or willingness to obtain these).
  • Some clinical Occupational Therapy and NDIS experience.
