About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Operations Manager to lead our manufacturing team in Melbourne. This role involves providing shift supervision and management of people and equipment to achieve desired output and efficiency from the manufacturing process during the shift, at the required quality level.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead production staff to ensure effective use of resources and maintain a safe work environment
  • Assist with the successful running of day-to-day production operations
  • Ensure customer orders are completed in full and on time through efficient planning and execution
  • Promote Quality Assurance/Quality Control requirements to ensure high-quality products
  • Maintain and improve company OSH&E systems for optimal workplace safety
  • Manage production equipment, stocks, and consumables to minimize waste and maximize efficiency
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase branch production capabilities and efficiencies
  • Contribute to the induction and development of new team members to enhance overall performance
  • Oversee scheduled maintenance programs on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
  • Support the leadership team in instilling a positive company culture by example and guidance

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in supervising teams in the Laser cutting industry or manufacturing environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and leadership abilities
  • Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to drive business growth
  • Experience in implementing Quality control systems
  • Forklift license and Driver's license is essential
  • Full working rights in Australia
