Job Title: Data Centre Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Centre Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing data centre facilities around the world.

The ideal candidate will have 4-8 years of relevant experience with real data centre experience and a strong background in data centre management, network topography/protocols, and server operating systems.

You will be responsible for managing relationships with Colocation providers, rack equipment, maintaining a standardized cabling and labelling system, and coordinating with project managers on implementation schedules.

Additionally, you will manage inventory, provision/decommission equipment, and provide remote hands support for engineering and IT teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage data centre facilities around the world.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with Colocation providers.
  • Maintain a standardized cabling and labelling system.
  • Coordinate with project managers on implementation schedules.
  • Manage inventory, provision/decommission equipment.
  • Provide remote hands support for engineering and IT teams.
Requirements:
  • 4-8 years of relevant experience.
  • Real data centre experience is essential.
  • Strong background in data centre management, network topography/protocols, and server operating systems.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 40%.
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of assembling, deploying, and troubleshooting server hardware.
  • Solid understanding of internet-related technologies and protocols.
  • Good time management and organisational skills.
