Job Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Data Centre Engineer to manage our global data centre facilities, focusing on one key facility.

The successful candidate will oversee the operational efficiency of our Satellite services network, Corporate services, and government customers, ensuring seamless connectivity and service delivery.

This role requires hands-on experience in data centre operations and engineering, including building strong relationships with colocation providers, maintaining network connections, power, cooling, and capacity, and delivering high-quality services to customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Rack equipment and maintain standardized cabling and labelling systems for optimal data centre performance.
  • Collaborate with project managers to coordinate implementation schedules, inventory management, provisioning/decommissioning, and provide remote support services.
  • Ensure the health, care, and maintenance of all IT data centre equipment, including servers, storage arrays, network gear, etc.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 4-8 years of relevant experience in data centre management.
  • Prior experience in managing real-world data centre operations is essential.
  • Familiarity with best practices of data centre management, network topology/protocols, server operating systems, and software is required.
  • Experience with data centre and equipment cooling, electrical systems, power deployment, and usage is necessary.
  • A background in Agile DevOps environments and excellent communication skills is desired.
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency is mandatory.
