Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Animal Care Specialist to tend to routine animal husbandry duties, assist with farrowing, clean and maintain accommodation pens, handle and use chemicals, operate machinery, and care for the animals.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily animal checks and report any issues to management
- Assist in maintaining herd health status at an acceptable level
- Clean and maintain equipment and facilities
- Operate machinery and vehicles safely
- Provide excellent animal care and handling skills
Requirements
- Experience in animal/stock handling desirable but not essential
- High regard for OH&S and animal safety
- Ability to cope with physical demands of the role
- Willingness to work weekends and public holidays
