The role of Childcare Cook is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the daily lives of young children. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating nutritious and delicious meals that cater to diverse tastes and dietary requirements.
Working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, you will need to stay organized and focused on meeting production targets while ensuring high standards of food safety and presentation. Your passion for cooking and ability to work effectively with others will make you an asset to our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and prepare healthy meals for up to 65 children daily
- Source ingredients from approved suppliers while adhering to budget constraints
- Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels to minimize waste
- Develop seasonal menus that showcase fresh flavors and creativity
For this role, we are seeking an experienced cook who possesses excellent communication skills and a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or ACECQA-approved Early Childhood qualification. Proficiency in basic math and organizational tools such as spreadsheets is also essential.
A proven track record in managing multiple priorities, maintaining a clean working environment, and fostering positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders will also be highly valued.
