Business Development Manager Opportunity

This is a key role focused on driving strategic growth across our Assurance Learning portfolio. As a commercially driven Business Development Manager, you will identify and pursue new opportunities in the public sector.

You will develop new relationships with public sector organisations, delivering tailored training solutions that support compliance, governance, and risk capability uplift.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new public sector clients through targeted prospecting and outreach
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet revenue targets
  • Establish and maintain relationships with senior government and public sector decision-makers
  • Prepare and deliver proposals, quotes, and tender responses
  • Maintain accurate pipeline data and contribute to regular reporting
  • Conduct market research to stay ahead of sector trends and identify new opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver a seamless client experience

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 10+ years of business development or B2B sales experience
  • Extensive experience selling to government organisations is essential
  • A strong track record of exceeding sales quotas, ideally in the public sector
  • A deep understanding of public sector procurement processes
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
  • Experience responding to RFPs/tenders is highly desirable
  • Self-motivation, time management, and reporting discipline
  • CMS experience is preferred
  • A bachelor's degree or relevant industry experience
