About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Operations Manager to join our team. This role involves overseeing the safe and efficient operation of track mounted crushers and screens on client sites.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure crushing targets and KPIs in accordance with contract terms and safety systems.
  • Communicate daily objectives with crushing, maintenance, and contracting personnel.
  • Implement, maintain, and manage routine maintenance programs and schedule preventative maintenance in liaison with the Maintenance Superintendent.
  • Monitor wear parts life and report costs to the Project Manager monthly and in accordance with the contract.
  • Assess, order, and monitor crusher parts and consumables.
  • Report all faults and defects promptly.
  • Autorize all Crushing personnel timesheets ensuring correct hours are listed.
  • Assist in the training and learning regime of employees and sub-contractors and identify development opportunities.
  • Performance manage personnel and provide constructive criticism to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have 5 years' experience in previous Crushing Leadership roles, sound knowledge of safety systems, and the ability to lead a team safely, effectively, and efficiently. They must be able to meet required KPIs, assist in shutdown preparations, troubleshoot faults, and possess mentoring and coaching skills. A 'Can Do' attitude to safety is essential.
