About the role

As our next Mechanical Fitter, you will proudly represent our Crushing Team, thrive on challenges, and enjoy the variety of work available. We seek a passionate and energetic person who appreciates responsibility, recognition, and reward. Located in the Shire of Yilgarn, on a 14/7 FIFO roster, you will meet all goals and challenges with fairness and integrity.

The Yilgarn Iron Ore Project includes the sites of Koolyanobbing, Windarling, and Parker Range. The region has a long history of iron ore mining and is situated in the Shires of Yilgarn and Menzies, with ore being railed to Esperance Port for export. The mining areas are on the land of the Marlinyu Ghoorlie Native Title Group.

In this role, you will have:

  • Experience servicing and maintaining fixed plant crushers.
  • Knowledge of jaw crushers, cone crushers, and conveyors.
  • Ability to assist with heavy equipment repairs and maintenance.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously or in a team.
  • Commitment to workplace safety.
  • Knowledge of safety systems and safe work processes.
  • Ability to meet KPIs set by management, operations, and the client.

About you

To be considered, you should have:

  • Australian recognised Mechanical Trade Certificate.
  • HR driver's license (desirable).
  • OHS Construction Card.
  • HRWL – Confined Spaces and Working at Heights.
  • Proven compliance and commitment to health and safety.
