Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Data Engineer to join our team and take on the challenge of designing, developing, and maintaining data integration solutions that connect on-premises and cloud-based enterprise applications using Microsoft Azure tools and technologies.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to leverage your expertise in data engineering, including data integration, ETL processes, and data modelling, to drive business growth and innovation.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Data Integration Solutions: Design and develop scalable and efficient data integration solutions utilizing Microsoft Azure tools such as Azure Data Factory and SQL.
  • ETL Pipelines: Develop, implement, and maintain ETL pipelines to ensure seamless data transfer between various systems.
  • Data Modelling: Design and maintain data models to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and availability while considering scalability and performance optimisations.
  • Quality Checks: Implement data validation and quality checks to identify and rectify data anomalies, errors, and inconsistencies within integrated systems.
  • Process Optimisation: Continuously monitor and optimise data integration processes to enhance performance, reduce latency, and minimise resource consumption.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Data Engineering Expertise: Proven experience in data engineering, including data integration, ETL processes, and data modelling.
  • SQL Skills: Strong SQL skills and experience with data warehousing concepts.
  • Data Governance: Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Communication: Effective communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Education and Certifications:
  • Degree in Computer Science or IT: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications advantageous.
