Join Our Team as an Aquatic Ecologist

We are seeking an experienced Aquatic Ecologist to join our team at EMM Consulting. As a key member of our Aquatic Ecology practice, you will play a crucial role in delivering aquatic ecology solutions to our clients.

About the Role

This is a hybrid position that combines home working with team collaboration days at our Brisbane, Sydney, or Newcastle office. You will work on a variety of aquatic projects across multiple sectors, including renewables, mining, energy, and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement aquatic ecology solutions for our clients
  • Conduct fieldwork, including ecology impact assessments and groundwater dependent eco assessments
  • Collaborate with our team of spatial solutions experts to deliver GIS-based solutions
  • Contribute to the development of our Aquatic practice and client relationships
  • Work with leaders who are committed to helping you grow and develop in your career
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience in aquatic ecology
  • Good knowledge of legislator frameworks for aquatic ecology and practical experience in freshwater fieldwork
  • Experience in using ArcGIS and water quality sampling and analysis
  • Ability to research, prepare documentation, and draw conclusions to support recommendations for review
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
  • Great relationship skills, including the ability to liaise with the team, clients, and stakeholders
