Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business requirements related to billing processes and systems
  • Analyze current-state billing operations, customer journeys, and regulatory obligations to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement
  • Support the definition of scope, benefits, costs, and business impacts for billing system enhancements and related projects
  • Develop clear documentation including business requirements, process maps, options analysis, and impact assessments
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and working groups with stakeholders across customer, finance, operations, IT, and regulatory teams
  • Assist in preparing presentations and supporting materials for executive and steering committee review
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) highly regarded
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst on billing systems (preferably in energy or utilities)
  • Strong understanding of energy industry processes, customer billing, market settlements, and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex business and system requirements into clear documentation for technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in agile and/or hybrid delivery environments, with strong facilitation and requirements management skills
  • Solid financial and commercial acumen, including the ability to support cost-benefit and ROI analysis
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence in presenting to senior leadership and governance forums
