Job Description:

As a Compliance and Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for leading compliance efforts across external debt collection agencies. This role is pivotal in maintaining robust governance and assurance frameworks that ensure our operations are in full compliance with laws, regulations, and contractual obligations.

You will drive continuous improvement across the function, contributing to lasting and positive changes that uphold the highest standards of integrity and operational excellence. Your work will have a meaningful impact on the organization and its stakeholders.

  • Monitor debt collection agency adherence to contractual and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with internal teams to meet compliance goals
  • Manage debt collection agency obligations in Protecht and support regular audits
  • Liaise with debt collection agencies and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance outcomes
  • Design and implement assurance and control frameworks
  • Conduct reviews and testing of controls, recommending enhancements
  • Assist in developing risk strategies and maintaining risk registers
  • Guide teams on risk management practices and system administration
  • Align assurance activities with organizational goals and support audits
  • Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and regulators
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely reporting of issues
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in compliance, preferably in the debt collection industry
  • Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
  • Strong time management and process documentation skills
  • Ability to analyze data, assess risk, and provide sound recommendations
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
