Job Opportunity: Diesel Mechanic

Join our team to fill a full-time role as a Diesel Mechanic supporting our Diesels team in South Australia.

The successful candidate will install, overhaul and maintain mechanical features of generating assets and auxiliary plant to contribute to the availability and reliability of the facility's Diesel Generating assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine maintenance on diesel generating and auxiliary plant equipment.
  • Identify and report defects, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Undertake tasks such as welding, fabrication, lubrication, hydraulics and machining.
  • Contribute to and execute day-to-day work plans to ensure timely delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records by completing administrative requirements and using maintenance management systems.
Requirements:
  • A Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or a relevant trade certificate.
  • Knowledge and experience in repairs, maintenance and diagnostics within a power generation environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and determine root cause failures on plant and equipment.
  • Good communication skills and ability to establish constructive working relationships.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of health and safety performance.
Location:

This role is based on site at Port Stanvac in Lonsdale; you may be required to work at other sites as needed.
