System Analyst Job Description

A system analyst is a professional who plays a crucial role in designing and developing modern digital solutions. They are responsible for modifying, enhancing or adapting existing legacy systems, and integrating new features or improvements to enhance business efficiency and productivity.

  • Conducting thorough requirement analysis and preparing specific proposals for modified or replacement systems.
  • Working closely with colleagues to provide IT solutions for internal and external clients.
  • Providing training material and user manuals to users of new systems.
  • Analyzing As-IS processes and systems, identifying pain points, and developing TO-Be processes and opportunities for automation.
  • Drawing up, supervising and documenting testing schedules for a complete system.
  • Planning and working flexibly to deadlines.
  • Supporting users on change control and systems updates.
  • Creating analytical reports.
  • Developing a financial project plan to support and lead the implementation of software solutions.
  • Collaborating with clients to deploy system deliverables and training people across the systems resources.
  • Examining existing IT systems and business models.
  • Analyzing industry-specific systems requirements, including enterprise systems such as ERP and CRM systems.
  • Configuring automated processes using core workflow principles that are efficient, well-structured, maintainable and easy to understand.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in the field.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in IT/IS.
  • Broad knowledge of hardware, software and full-stack software development.
