Sr. Director of Cardiovascular Disease Treatment Strategies

Patient-centric approach is key to our Medical Affairs team. As a Sr. Director of Physician Engagement, you will facilitate internal and external collaboration to generate and disseminate evidence-based clinical practices that positively impact patient lives.

The ideal candidate will leverage scientific curiosity and passion for patients to drive innovative solutions for cardiovascular disease treatment. Your expertise in physician engagement strategies, education platforms, and strategic initiatives will help advance structural heart interventions across diverse regional landscapes.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement JAPAC-wide physician engagement strategies to strengthen medical credibility and trust among cardiologists and other key stakeholders.
• Establish long-term relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, professional societies, and leading academic centers to advance strategic goals, foster advocacy, and drive therapy awareness.
• Act as a trusted liaison between the organization and the physician community, ensuring feedback informs innovation, training, and strategy.
• Cultivate clinical dialogue that fuels therapy innovation and best-in-class adoption.
• Lead the conception, implementation, and oversight of regional strategic medical programs to advance structural heart interventions.
• Design and implement programs that support early and expanded access, including centers of excellence, training platforms, proctoring, and multidisciplinary education initiatives.
• Collaborate with global and regional stakeholders to tailor and localize existing or new strategic programs accounting for regional clinical, regulatory, and healthcare system nuances.
• Develop and implement a regional image screening hub, including design, operational setup, cross-functional coordination, and regulatory alignment.
• Drive educational programs for Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement, Transcatheter Mitral and Tricuspid Therapies, and surgical heart valve solutions.
• Guide physician proctorship, case observation models, and scientific curriculum aligned with local capabilities and global standards.
• Support continuous upskilling of existing proctors and educators to reinforce Edwards structural heart skills leadership.
• Partner with Marketing, Commercial, and Public Affairs teams to ensure business strategy and market access goals alignment.
• Provide regional expertise to support new product launches, indication expansion, and post-market engagement efforts.
• Represent the JAPAC region in global forums to ensure regional voice reflected in global strategy.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, regional regulations, and ethical standards.
• Monitor the evolving external landscape to adapt strategies proactively.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Health Sciences or related field with 10 years of experience in leadership roles in the cardiovascular device or healthcare industry.
• Demonstrated track record in people management and leadership.
• Deep knowledge and passion for structural heart disease, transcatheter interventions, and the evolving therapeutic landscape.
• Proven success in physician engagement across culturally diverse markets and in leading regional strategic initiatives.
• Strong understanding of local clinical and regulatory dynamics in Asia-Pacific.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal relationship skills, and problem-solving abilities.
• Cross-cultural experience and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to build and direct teams, provide coaching and feedback, and interact professionally with all organizational levels.

Bilingual/Multi-lingual capabilities in key Asian languages are a plus.
