Role Description

As a AOD Clinician, you will work collaboratively with the HOPE team to actively engage clients in the assessment of their own suicide risk and contribute to their suicide prevention plan. The role requires assisting the HOPE team in responding to new referrals, working with consumers and their families, and carrying out discipline-specific duties and assessments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mental health nursing, psychology, or social work principles, with a minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience. Additionally, they should possess excellent clinical, time management, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem-solve.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse, Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker
  • Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience, including work in community mental health settings
  • Completed Cert IV in AOD training or higher
  • Extensive experience in managing clients with AOD issues
  • Current unrestricted Victorian Drivers Licence
