Job Description

This full-time role involves joining our team on the Collie Battery Energy Storage System (CBESS) Project as a Senior Contracts Administrator on a project-based contract basis. The position is available on a 10/4 DIDO roster from Perth, with a local option for those residing in the Collie region.

You will be responsible for maintaining and administering project contracts and documentation to ensure all commercial aspects and conditions are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate contract administration during the construction phase.
  • Provide contractual assistance to the Project Manager to ensure obligations are met.
  • Liaise with the scheduling team to reflect project performance in weekly programs.
  • Organize and submit variations to the contract.
  • Follow up with clients to review and sign off on variations and claims.
  • Submit claims for delays and extension of time in accordance with the Contract timeline.
  • Provide reports on project performance relating to progress, WHS, and manning.
About You

To succeed in this position, you will require tertiary qualifications in business administration, law, or a related field discipline and at least 5 years' experience as a senior contracts administrator in the heavy construction industry.

You must demonstrate:

  • A high level of attention to detail.
  • A strong understanding of contract law, construction contracts, and industry practices.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
  • A high level of commitment to safety.
  • Strong computer literacy.
