Grounds Maintenance Worker Job Summary

This is a seasonal position that performs general landscaping and maintenance activities in parks, grounds, and lake dams. As a Grounds Maintenance Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining the grounds, lake shores, and parks in pristine condition.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Mowing, trimming, edging, sweeping, raking, cultivating, digging, watering, shoveling, fertilizing, planting, and seeding.
  • Laying sod, etc.
  • Maintaining parks, facilities, parking lots, lake dams, and policing grounds.
  • Performing minor adjustments to mowers and equipment.
  • General housekeeping (shop).

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • High school education or up to one month of related experience or training.
  • Must be 21 years of age and have a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

The work environment will be moderate to loud with occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions.
