Lead Mechanical Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to oversee and contribute to the design, prototyping, and transition-to-production of advanced opto-mechanical products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead our Mechanical Engineering capability.
  • Oversee design, analysis, and testing of mechanical systems.
  • Contribute to all phases of the product development lifecycle (R&D through to production).
  • Mentor and support a diverse team of engineers and technicians.
  • Drive process and design improvements in a collaborative environment.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years' experience.
  • Proven leadership experience in engineering teams.
  • Hands-on experience across R&D, design, validation, and production environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Previous experience in Defence, Space, or start-up environments is highly regarded.
  • Eligible for an Australian Defence Security Clearance (must be an Australian Citizen).
